Fabulous Friday Fitness Challenge

Do you dread going to events with only porta potty bathrooms?

This weeks Fabulous Friday Fitness Challenge will change all that. Squats! That's right, doing lots of squats will build leg strength so you can hover efficiently...a skill only a mother can love.

Squats build strength in the quadriceps at the front of the leg, hamstrings at the back of the leg as well as the supporting muscles and tendons. How do you do them efficiently? It starts with form:

Stand with feet hips width apart
Toes facing forward
All your weight in your heels allowing your toes to wiggle
Keep your head and chest lifted
Lower your hips down and back as you inhale
Exhale and stand up

Chair squats are truly the best way to prepare for the porta potty trip, so with this challenge pull up a chair. Stand about a foot away so that when you squat down your tooshy can touch the chair before you stand back up.

Here's the challenge:

Do 10 perfect form chair squats, on number 10 hold it in a hover for a count of 10
Repeat 2x (3x if you're feeling super duper today)

Comment when you're done.
